Neil McIntosh, 1947 - 2026

In memory of a beloved husband, Dad, Grandpa, brother, and friend

Neil McIntosh was a deeply loving and beloved husband, Dad, Grandpa and friend. He was also a proud Scotsman and a formidable leader, who lives on in the impact he made in several fields around the world, especially education. Neil lived with Parkinson's for the last 20 years of his life, and his bravery in facing this cruel disease was an inspiration. His death leaves a huge gap in the lives of many who are grateful to have known and loved him. You are welcome to leave tributes and pictures on this site to share happy memories with all of us who miss him so much. (To add pictures or memories, go to Galleries and then choose "Help grow Neil’s tribute".)

If you would like to make a donation in Neil’s memory, you can do so here. We have arranged with Parkinson’s UK that all such donations will be dedicated to research. Neil was fortunate enough to benefit from the best available treatments, thanks to the past work of brilliant researchers, but there is still no cure. Even though he knew that any breakthrough would come too late for him, he firmly believed that nothing was more important than funding the research that will ultimately deliver a future free from Parkinson’s.

You can also find a link to the recording of Neil’s funeral service on this page.
